i think that we should have a song contest to see who can write the best song " ABOUT EARTH DAY" and then seperatly have a singing contest to see who can sing the best. Then we could take the best song writer and the best singer and have the best singer sing the song that won the song writing contest. this would be enjoyable and would pertain to the earth day theme. i think as a student at lcms that most kids would like this.
I think that the Earth Day contest is a really good idea. But my personal opinion is that you should have a poem contest about nature and stuff like that.
I never really got the whole point of Earth Day. What are we suppose to do on Earth Day? People plant trees on that day, but we've been doing that since forever. An Earth Day Song Contest could be cool, but the songs shouldn't be about the Earth. It should be about like... I don't know like nature or something.

We discussed whether it should be talent show like American idol or a song contest.
Students said it needed to sound good and that the content wasn't important.
We also talked about who should judge: student council, teachers, students
